About Us
The Obesity Free Foods Association (O.F.F.A.) is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the reduction of obesity, especially childhood obesity. We believe that Obesity is a complex multi factorial epidemic which must be fought with three tenets: (1) Mind, (2) Body and (3) Nutrition.
Our Mission is to prevent obesity and reduce chronic disease related factors associated with obesity by educating the public on Obesity Free Foods that are Natural, Portion Controlled, and Nutrient Dense, as well as living an Obesity Free Lifestyle composed of daily physical exercise and a positive mental/emotional health outlook.
Understanding the social, behavioral, cultural, physiological, metabolic and genetic factors that lead to obesity is a first step in an effort to finding solutions to this growing epidemic. Although the obesity epidemic has been studied by multiple disciplines, the Obesity Free Foods Association strives to develop solutions to promote the manufacturing of Natural, Portion Controlled, and Nutrient Dense foods in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team of experts in diversified industries including:
-
Food Manufacturing
-
Food Safety and Microbiology
-
Bariatric Medicine & Surgery

The O.F.F.A was formed in 2011 and gained its non-profit status in 2013. Our next eight years will be dedicated to furthering our mission and expanding the availability of Obesity Free Foods in the marketplace. Additionally, we will consistently work on new and exciting physical activities for children with a creative user experience model focused on making physical activity and exercise fun and reducing the obesity epidemic. We believe that if both children and adults are having fun, they will come back to the services offered by the O.F.F.A. again and again, keeping them active and keeping them healthy.
Our future plans offer children and adults a venue where they can participate in sports on a regular schedule, especially in light of the fact that physical education programs are being cut across the nation and childhood obesity is on the rise. The O.F.F.A. recognizes the importance of maintaining opportunities for children and adults to engage in physical activities. Our programs offer children and adults a safe and secure fitness environment along with close personal attention.
The goals of O.F.F.A. are dual-sided: to help parents feel good about the care of their children and to make it a safe, vigorous, and fun for their children, all while educating them on nutrition and the importance of consuming Obesity Free Foods. Our activities are designed in such a way that children will want to return, thereby, setting them on a lifelong path to a healthy, active Obesity Free Food Lifestyle.
